Desmond is a versatile and skilled professional with a passion for the construction industry. Transitioning from a software developer to a quantity surveyor, he brings a unique blend of technical expertise and analytical mindset to his work. He completed his Diploma in Construction (Quantity Surveying) with distinction at Unitec in June 2022 and is now in the final year of his Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying major) at Massey University. His experience as a software developer has instilled in him a strong analytical mindset and attention to detail, both of which are essential for success in the field of quantity surveying.

During his time as a quantity surveyor, he has gained valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of the field, including cost estimation, tendering and procurement, post contract administration, and construction practices. This practical exposure, combined with his academic accomplishments, has equipped him with a deep understanding of the industry and proficiency in the latest quantity surveying software and technologies. He is proficient in tools such as iTWO CostX, Bluebeam, BIM software (Navisworks Manage), Payapps, and Docusign, enabling him to work efficiently and effectively in a modern construction industry.
